We spent the afternoon at a Johannesburg Housing Company complex in downtown Jo’burg.
The children had mothers and some had fathers still present in there lives but very little else.
Where ever possible the parent might find work to be able to feed themselves only. If the parent is working then community workers provide day care. As they cannot afford anything else we came with clothes, toiletries, paper and pens all well needed essential items.
The housing facility provided an inflatable football pitch for the smaller children to play inside.
We all had a great time trying to keep up with the children who had lots of energy. Despite
their circumstances the children were fantastically happy. The children are a inspiration for all. Our hearts were touched.
