What a great day today walking the final leg of Hadrians Wall with my colleagues from the North East. Joined by some regular walkers and new faces, we set off from Newburn hoping that the weather would stay kind, which it did all day.
We had a pleasant stroll along the banks of the Tyne until we stopped for lunch at Starbucks, and within 20 minutes were back on our feet.
As is tradition these days the afternoon session included a litter pick on behalf of ‘Keep Britain Tidy’. As you will see from the photos we collected enough rubbish along the way to fill up many skips.
We finished the walk at Segedunum, Wallsend at just around 3 p.m. – a few blisters and bruises but everybody in high spirits.
Thanks for tremendous support as always from Kevin Morrow….. and look out
for more on the morrow…
